Port City Café and Bakery, 209 West First, is popular with locals for its variety of panini and wrap sandwiches and homemade breakfast pastries, plus its pastas, quesadillas and large selection of salads and coffees. Indoors is exclusively no smoking; there is also some outdoor seating. Vona’s Restaurant, West 10th and Utica St. Since 1946, a family owned restaurant serving homemade Italian dishes with only the finest ingredients. 343-8710.

Rudy’s Stand, family-owned and operated for more than 60 years, is right on Lake Ontario about 1 1⁄4 miles west of the marinas. It boasts great food and a famous Texas Hot Sauce, and serves a variety of fish-and-chips plates, sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs and the like, as well as hard and soft ice cream.
